Code of Practice
The Attorney-General’s Department has a Code of Practice (Regulation 37L) that must be adhered to by all marriage celebrants registered under Part IV, Division 1 Subdivision C of the Marriage Act 1961.
Under the Marriage Act 1961 , the Registrar may take disciplinary action against marriage celebrants who do not adhere to the Code of Practice. The Code of Practice stipulates that Celebrants must have a high standard of service, recognise the significance of marriage, and comply with legislation. Information of how to make a complaint In the unlikely event you have a complaint about any aspect of my celebrant services, feel free to call me or email me directly. If you are not satisfied with my reply or few fail to reach adequate closure on the matter, you are entitled to make a complaint directly to the Attorney General’s Office here.
